Tag! I’m it (until the end of this post)

Here are the rules: One person is “It” – that’d be me. The rest of y’all – RUN!! If I tag you (as in, reach out through the monitor and grab you by the arm, or visit your blog and say “You’re IT!” or somehow suck you in and get you to read this post), you’re IT! YOU, in turn, must answer the questions below, then go tag as many people as you can.

1.What were your favorite games to play when you were a kid? Do you remember the rules? Share them here (bored kids grounded from video games will thank you):

Pinocle and I can’t remember the rules. It was a card game that Mom and Dad played at card club every other saturday night.

2. Did you go trick-or-treating when you were a kid? What was your favorite costume ever?

Yes, but I don’t think I had a costume. Best place to go was the neighbor’s. They repackaged candy from home and delivered to many small stores in the state.

3. How old is “too old” to go trick-or-treating?

Never thought about it in terms of age. If you’re willing to put a hat to cover the gray and a mask to cover the beard, then there’s no age limit. (I never did get around to growing up)

4. Do you remember any silly or gross songs or rhymes from your childhood (like, “Greasy Grimy Gopher Guts”)? Share them with us!

Good grief! That was last century!

5. What is your favorite Halloween memory?

Taking the boys trick or treating and watching them tell the person at the door, “No thanks, I don’t like that kind” and he said, “I bet your dad does”

6. What goodies do you hope to find in your treat bag this Halloween?

Candy corn, what else is there?

Okay, YOUR TURN!! You’re IT!

  1. You and Elysabeth, I swear – I’m about ready to take you BOTH by the hand for remedial trick-or-treating! No costume? Can’t remember silly songs and gross rhymes?? What?? 🙂 Nice job on the tag, Ron – thanks for playing!

  2. I honestly can’t remember a costume. Considering how often I was teased, I made a conscious effort to forget all the rhymes.

    Yes, I greatly enjoyed playing.
