Twidget

aaronand-twidgetIt was a hot, beautiful June night and, oh ok, it was 14 below on January 26th, that Twidget made her grand appearance. Oh, you don’t know Twidget yet?Kaydendce Callista Berry is my new granddaughter.

Opulent entrance: Jan 26th, 2009 12:42 pm
Twidget weighed in at 8 lbs 14 oz’s
Our newest dancer was 201/4 inches long.

I guess I have to say I’m a proud grandpa. But I’m also very stern. I’ll let dad and Grandma spoil her but I don’t do that. Ok, maybe just a little. Make that we need two more rooms added to this house for her toys that I’ll get her. She’s a quiet soul but hates to be undressed. She is also very mannerly because she will do her best not to burp and is all too often successful.

Mom was in labor for a long time!! From start to finish it took close to fifteen minutes. She was in a birthing suite, which is the only thing available at the hospital. Her dad, Jared, had taken two weeks off to be with mom and stayed in the hospital with her. Oh, my daughter’s name is Amber. Jared was also the one to cut the umbilical cord.

This is my first and probably only Grandchild. Watch for continual updates on this wonder girl.

  1. Congratulations! What a wonderful occurrence on a rather cold night. I’m glad everyone is doing well. I’m sure you will enjoy your granddaughter very much. (And I don’t know a grandpa that doesn’t spoil, though they’re quick to say they don’t.) 🙂

    • Yes, twidget is my nickname for her. Her dad calls her lizard (and to see her tongue action, he’s right). Aaron, her uncle calls her tweaky, Grandma calls her skeeter. She’ll graduate college before she knows her real name.
