“Walking on the beach that summer day, her beautiful eyes stole my heart. I wonder if she ever thinks of me, and all the things that we could be?” ‘Summertime’ by Lynn McMonigal is all that it sounds to be, romantic, funny, poignant, and a very pleasant read. Mix a journalist, a talent scout and a boy band with a beach and you have the makings of a hot romantic time. Crystal works for her father in the talent agency of a music producer and Laura worked for a publishing company. Crystal invited her roommate Laura to a party on a beach. There are times when two becomes four or even five. You’ll have to read the book to see how the math works out.

Lynn McMonigal writes with an almost devilish hand. Once you start reading anything she writes, it’s very hard to put it down until you’ve finished it. Don’t read the ending first, it will almost spoil the big climax. It won’t destroy the story though. Every word carries it’s own weight in gold.
